The Agronomic and Veterinary Institute Hassan II in Rabat is a centre of multidisciplinary expertise for sustainable development. The Institute focuses on the disciplines of the natural resources, environment, agronomy and horticulture, veterinary medicine and food technology. The resources of the Institute are a diversified infrastructure, a collection of highly qualified human resources numbering 350 education staff, 70 laboratories and 2 campuses (Rabat and Agadir). The Department of Parasitology and Parasitic Disease is the most productive laboratory in the south in terms of publications and teaching. The main research fields are epidemiology and control of parasitic diseases in herbivores (sheep, goats, cattle, camels and equine) with investigations related to resistance to anthelmintics in herbivores underway.
